Eligibility for Admission
The candidate seeking admission to the 1st year BE Degree Course should have passed the 2nd PUC / 10+2 higher secondary education or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the optional subjects as Physics and Mathematics with Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology, or Computer Science.
In case of SC, ST& OBC the minimum aggregate marks in the above said optional subjects shall not be less than 40% in the qualifying examination..
Admission Procedure
The students seeking admission to the first year BE Degree course in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Bangalore shall appear in the Competitive entrance test conducted by the concerned authorities as per the approval of the college from time to time. The entrance test is presently conducted by COMEDK for All India students and KEA (CET Cell) for Karnataka students. The selection and counseling for admission will be made as per merit list published by the concerned authorities. The selected candidates shall pay the fees as fixed by the college.
The students seeking admission under the management and NRI category can apply directly to the college with the application forms available free of cost from the college website and the admission will be considered on merit as per the marks obtained by the candidate in the aggregate of optional subjects of the qualifying examination.
Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. A candidate once admitted will not be permitted to take transfer to any other college.
Any student, neither reported to the college nor paid the fee as prescribed by the college within the date specified, will be treated as cancelled and the next merited candidate will be considered in the said vacancy.
The admission procedure will be completed as per the schedule prescribed by the university. In any case, no admission will be considered after the last date of admission.
The candidates, who have passed in the diploma examination of the related courses conducted at RGIT can apply for the admission to the third semester, i.e. 2nd year B.E. course in the appropriate branch as per the regulations of the university.
